Sri Lanka University of Peradeniya Mojith Ariyaratne Mojith Ariyaratne is the former Head of the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture in University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka. His research is focused on the development of new agronomic practices for sustainable agriculture and precision agriculture. He is involved with several national and international research projects on soil and crops. Anurudda Karunarathna Anurudda Karunarathna is Senior Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering. His research focuses on understanding waste management issues in agricultural, urban and natural systems. This includes the development of solid waste/wastewater treatment methods, environmental engineering, fate and transport of contaminants in the environment, environmental risk assessment of contaminants and devising effective measures for risk mitigation. Senal Weersooriya Senal Weersooriya is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Business Management. His research focuses on quantitative policy analysis, econometrics and statistics. He brings expertise in farm networks, agricultural policy, market forces and behavioural change in agricultural settings. Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology (SLINTEC) Surani Chathurika Surani Chathurika is a former Senior Research scientist at SLINTEC and currently she is working as a Senior Lecturer at University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Surani is serving SLINTEC as a Consultant- Project manager to the microplastic project. Her research interest focuses on solving current issues in soil science, agronomy and crop science by discovering new soil fertility improvements, advanced fertilizer technologies, green soil amendments, natural product based biostimulants, advanced seed coating technologies and applications of advanced technologies in urban agriculture. She has established industrial research partnerships with several leading national agro-industries. Gayathree Senevirathne Gayathree Senevirathne is a Science Group Leader at SLINTEC. Her research focuses on improving plant and soil health, plant and crop stress physiology, plant biostimulants to alleviate stress and greener approaches to improve nutrient use efficiency in nitrogen fertilizers. Meththa Gimhani Meththa Gimhani is a Research Scientist at SLINTEC. Her research focuses on plant virology based diagnostic molecular tools, biotechnological applications in crop protection and plant related peptide synthesis.
